5 Useful Exercises to Cultivate your Spirit

It is well known that good times tend to lull us into spiritual indifference. We want you to feel enlightenment close to you and that is why we propose these exercises to cultivate your spirituality.

He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” Matthew 17:20

Many times because we really want to enjoy those moments, and other times because of our denying nature, taking for granted that our Faith can stand on its own. That is why many, instead of surrendering to the Lord with deep and serene assurance in the midst of crisis, wonder where God is.

“Fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer, and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him, he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” Hebrews 12:2

Trust in God

It really doesn't matter how hard the moment we are going through or the great difficulty we are going to experience, we must always remember that God is there to help us, comfort us and guide us during our journey on this, the path He chose for us, with all its sacrifices and benefits.

“For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, mutual affection; and to mutual affection, love.” 2 Peter 1:5-7

Establish our values

Let us remember that we must live according to the teachings of Jesus, and in that way constantly cultivate the values most worthy of Christ's pride and also demonstrate to Him that you are worthy of His trust. I am convinced that this is the best way to mold our character and become a person who makes the best decisions.

“Now, brothers and sisters, I want to remind you of the gospel I preached to you, which you received and on which you have taken your stand. 2 By this gospel you are saved if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain.” 1 Corinthians 15:1-2

Being Patients

Let us practice patience and understanding. Let us meditate, pray and talk to God permanently, let us try to listen to the messages He sends us and that we should only be open to receive. Let us be aware of time and give it its space so that things happen at the right and due time.

“We who are Jews by birth and not sinful Gentiles know that a person is not justified by the works of the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ. So we, too, have put our faith in Christ Jesus that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law because by the works of the law no one will be justified.” Galatians 2:15-16

Being grateful

When we think of all that we have to be thankful for, we realize God's immense love for us. From the very conception of life as we know it, to the most beautiful moments we have lived, everything is reason enough to be infinitely grateful, so let us fill our hearts with the most genuine feeling of enormous gratitude.
