Banish Fear and Anxiety Now

In those moments where we don't know where and how to move forward, we need to remember these verses. Explore how to overcome right now in the following article.

“I, even I, am he who comforts you. Who are you that you fear mere mortals, human beings who are but grass.” Isaiah 51:12

There are several reasons why we may experience feelings of anxiety.

The demands of today's fast-paced world constantly generate states of confusion that, when prolonged over time, lead to worries and moments of unease.

The signs are rather obvious. Physical sensations appear that simply were not there before. We may even feel a "knot" in our stomach or throat, which inevitably causes our stress levels to be very high.

The future appears uncertain and full of burdens. Anxiety grows within us and we begin to feel fearful. However, we must regain our calm and realize that we have the strongest Power in the universe on our side: We have God Almighty. He will keep us and guide us for good.

“…Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.” 1 Peter 5:7

We have all gone through difficult moments where anxiety has taken over our hearts.

When we have an uncertain perception of the future we feel insecure, with fears, to such an extent that we do not recognize ourselves in some of our attitudes.

We can be irritable or disengaged, hyperactive or static but the prevailing feeling inside us is anxiety. Anxiety does not allow us to enjoy the present.

It does not allow us to be filled with joy with each of the blessings that The Lord gives us every day. Let us talk to God to completely banish from our lives that feeling of insecurity that invades us. Let us ask the Highest for the necessary Wisdom to keep calm and not to make hasty decisions that may harm us.

“but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.

They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” Isaiah 40:31

Christ invites you to get rid of all the anxiety that a family problem, unemployment, a diagnosis, or a relationship has generated.

It is important in this type of instance, not to confuse us: The Lord is not asking us for this action because our anguish is not valid and, under no point of view, He disregards our feelings. He understands our condition better than anyone else and His desire is to free us from the burdens that are harming us.

Our Heavenly Father is concerned about our existence and every incident, good or bad, that happens in it. He loves us just as we are and that is a reality that will never change, even if we sometimes have doubts.

Let us not lose sight of the fact that His times are perfect and, therefore, different from ours.

“You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast because they trust in you.” Isaiah 26:3

When our confidence wanes, as a result of the tribulations we are going through, we are ignoring The Lord. That is why it is so important to sustain ourselves, with all our strength, in the Faith of the Word of Christ.

Only in this way can we become familiar with the Love of God, which is the greatest of Blessings. When we become aware of the infinite Love that the Highest professes to us, we can rest our heaviest burdens on Him and for that, we have to approach, untiringly, to His Mercy with humility and sincere repentance.

As we get to know our Heavenly Father, our Confidence begins to blossom and we rest in Faith, knowing that He will always be by our side and that He will never allow a burden we cannot bear.

“And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:19

The Lord urges us to face life with joy and confidence. In this sense, Pope Francis expressed himself in May 2019: "The Risen One invites his followers not to live the present with anxiety, but to make a covenant with time, to know how to wait for the outcome of a sacred history that has not been interrupted but is moving forward, to know how to wait for the "steps" of God, Lord of time and space." Thus we learn that it is necessary to respect the times of the Eternal One and to dignify His Glory every day, standing up and walking with Him on the path of Peace and Salvation.
