Celebrations of Life

There are moments in life that deserve to be celebrated with family and loved ones. Browse through the following article looking for a way to celebrate your life today.

"These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts.  Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up." Deuteronomy 6:6-7

In times of bonds that are easily made and unmade, it is important to think about the surrender we make together with God.

Do we feel that we consciously build a relationship with the Lord?

These are times when the social mandate is strongly governed by ego and individuality. We must be able to understand the role we have in every family, in every society and together with the Holy Spirit. Reciprocity must also be exercised daily together with Faith.

If the Lord wants to be in your life, He will manifest Himself through the glory of His light and His teachings for life. We must be honest and recognize how important the balance of respect, faith, love and hope is in our lives. In order to establish any relationship, we must understand that the equation is a two-way street.

" I appeal to you, brothers and sisters, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another in what you say and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly united in mind and thought." 1 Corinthians 1:10

We must understand what kind of relationship we have with those loved ones who are close to our circle of trust. Just as we did with our Heavenly Father, we must understand what those people who know us best in life mean to us.

This is what we mean when we say that relationships are liquid: they do not solidify, they do not remain. At times emotions get out of hand and only serve to satisfy a momentary desire, without being aware that we can generate.

But what are these relationships based on? do we really know this other person?

Getting to know a person in his or her deepest part requires time, will and dedication. It requires us to put ourselves on a level of personal connection with whoever is present in the real bond. To be able to understand that we are human beings, experiencing feelings, loving and suffering, learning and advancing along the path of the Holy Spirit.

Remembering how each character and story appears in the Bible, we will be able to understand many times the situations that we face in our daily life. In front of family members, friends, life companions and people who are a family in communion with God.

"Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sister is a liar. For whoever does not love their brother and sister, whom they have seen, cannot love God, whom they have not seen." 1 John 4:20

If we are passionate about what we do, why not commit to giving in the family or as a couple? Why not push to find the spaces that do not currently exist between our loved ones?

If we can build a collaborative bridge, open ourselves to the space of listening and empathizing with the other person, then we will be putting God's blessings into practice and action. We are his instruments of spiritual healing and perhaps many times we will come across people and situations in our path that will be giving us the possibility to help in the name of the Lord.

" Finally, all of you, be like-minded, be sympathetic, love one another, be compassionate and humble." 1 Peter 3:8

Deep down, behind all flight, there is a fear. There is a fear of giving ourselves too much, of exposing ourselves and not being reciprocated, of saying what we feel and being exposed. To be able to understand that opening ourselves to this person who loves us may imply saying "pardon" or "thank you".

Being on the path with Heavenly Father implies learning about our strengths and weaknesses. By keeping a positive attitude, trying to move forward with these life experiences along with faith and hope, we will be able to help those in our hearts who are present.

Being able to love these people from a place of maturity and completeness will help us to remember what bond we want to have with God.
