Creating a Fair Life

We have it in our capacity as human beings to create a level playing field for all people equally. In the following article we will explore how to bring peace to those who need it.

“This is what the Lord Almighty said: ‘Administer true justice; show mercy and compassion to one another. Do not oppress the widow or the fatherless, the foreigner or the poor. Do not plot evil against each other." Zechariah 7:9-10 7:9-10

It is very important that we manage to reflect on our interaction with our neighbors, on how we handle ourselves in today's society and also on the importance we give to God's presence in all of this.

Many times on our way to work, to the children's school or simply in our daily routine, we can visualize how we move forward as part of a flock that desperately wants to advance towards the plate of food that its owner serves it every day.

Do we ever stop to evaluate and contemplate our current surroundings?

"and the Holy Spirit descended on him in bodily form like a dove. And a voice came from heaven: “You are my Son, whom I love; with you I am well pleased.” Luke 3:22

The rhythm with which we live is not healthy, it constantly invites us to live in an acceleration that does not promise a good port. It is a product of that, a blindness that does not allow us to see what is going on around us, the things that really matter and that particularly deserve our attention.

In some circumstances we meet people who have had bad luck. Who are living the result of a life they may not have imagined or planned for.

Most of the time, we manage to look at those people who live in inferior conditions, different and often in ways that no one could have thought of before. What example did Jesus give us on the Cross that would inspire us for the rest of our days?

"For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; 6 and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; 7 and to godliness, mutual affection; and to mutual affection, love." 2 Peter 1:5-7

As long as we do not put the focus on those people who need help the most, we will not be able to complete the mission that the Lord conferred upon us.

If you ask yourself "how could I help?", you will realize that from approaching with your look, with an economic help, food or a simple gesture, it will be enough to feel that our Heavenly Father is guiding our decision.

In such circumstances we always turn to the word of God, since only He understands the human being like no one else and always has an answer for everything..

"Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, “Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother or sister who sins against me? Up to seven times?”Jesus answered, “I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times.". Matthew 18:21-22

When meditating on this matter, we realize that we have lost sight of the real objective for which we live, our values have been gradually changed by various factors that make us worry more about achieving our own objectives, than about what happens to the brother who is next to me. Such behaviors are not worthy of a child of God, and what they achieve is to generate in us negative feelings such as arrogance and greed.

Let us remember then how God helped us when we were looking for help like the beggar; how God extended his healing hand and opened his heart to shelter us when we needed it. I recommend that in moments of doubt, you ask yourselves: What would God do in this case?
