"Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers." Galatians 6:10

In our faith journey, we strive to follow the example of Christ, who dedicated his life to serving and loving unconditionally. Jesus, with his infinite love and wisdom, took every opportunity to touch lives, heal hearts and offer hope. However, as we try to emulate his way, we often find ourselves confronted with our own limitations, feeling that our efforts are not enough.

We face the reality that we cannot reach everyone or solve every need. This realization can lead to feelings of frustration and discouragement, especially among those who are more demanding of themselves. It is easy to fall into the trap of self-criticism and mechanization of our actions, forgetting that we are not the only ones responsible for changing the world.

"God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them." Hebrews 6:10

It is crucial to understand that we are co-workers in a greater divine work. Our role is that of helpers, while God is the true author of transformation and healing. The burden of changing the world does not fall on our shoulders; it belongs to God. Our effort, though limited, is valuable and significant in the divine plan.

Jesus himself was not anxious about not being able to be everywhere or speak to every person. He chose where to go and to whom to go, trusting that his heavenly Father would continue the work. Similarly, we must accept that we cannot be everywhere or help everyone. Our mission is to do the best we can with the resources and time we have, trusting that God will do the rest.

"But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be children of the Most High, because he is kind to the ungrateful and wicked." Luke 6:35

By focusing on making a difference in just one person's life, we are fulfilling a vital part of God's plan. Every act of kindness, every word of comfort and every gesture of love has a profound and lasting impact. Let us not underestimate the power of our actions, no matter how small they may seem.

It is essential not to give in to despair when our efforts seem insufficient. Let us remember that we are not called to save the world on our own, but to be instruments of God's love and grace. Our task is to sow seeds of faith and hope, trusting that God will make them grow in his perfect time.

"Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms." 1 Peter 4:10

Serving with humility and faith, we recognize that our capacity is limited, but our will and our love can make a significant difference. Each small action is a piece of the great mosaic of God's work. Let us not be discouraged by what we cannot do, but celebrate what we can contribute.

The Christian life calls us to follow the model of Jesus, serving with love and dedication, but also recognizing our human limitations. Let us trust God to complete what we cannot, and move forward with faith and hope. Every small act of kindness and love contributes to the great task God has begun. To serve with humility, trusting in divine providence, is the very essence of the Christian life.
