Living with a New Reality

Since the beginning of the pandemic, many habits and customs have changed in families and relationships. It is still often difficult for us to coordinate and get used to a new normality. Learn in the following article how to balance and enjoy the most beautiful moments as a family.

“for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith.” 1 John 5:4

The situation of being in quarantine can sometimes generate the appearance of obstacles of various kinds in our family. This is predictable, since the nervousness, uncertainty, and fear produced by the news coming from every corner of the planet, added to the unprecedented situation of seeing our daily activities interrupted, can be the cause of a certain state of annoyance and intolerance that, without realizing it, affects our environment.

When these problems are detected, we are presented with two very clear scenarios to try to find the solution and reinstall the much needed Harmony. On the one hand, we can avoid facing the challenge and hope that, magically, things will return to their place. This is not a good option since in the short term it leads us to states of despair that end up making us give up. The other option is to remain determined, knowing that we count on the Grace of the Lord to face any storm. As we walk with Christ in faith, we do not allow any failure to intimidate us.

“I write to you, dear children because you know the Father. I write to you, fathers because you know him who is from the beginning. I write to you, young men because you are strong, and the word of God lives in you, and you have overcome the evil one.” 1 John 2:14

It is of utmost importance, then, to activate our Faith and to assume Determination as a way to not give up when faced with an inconvenience. That is why it is important to cultivate a humble and pious Spirit to find the solutions we long for. We must be fully disposed to forgive and be forgiven, to listen and be listened to. Only in this way will we be able to follow the destiny that the Lord has in store for us.

When we maintain positive and edifying attitudes, we are committing ourselves to the changes to which God calls us, serving Him as well as our brothers and sisters. Let us encourage dialogue with our loved ones, let us find the appropriate moments for silence and family prayer, let us reflect with sincerity and Love. Let us keep in mind that we count on the Mercy of the Highest.

“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” Romans 8:28

When we are faced with obstacles, we must not dwell on the nature of the obstacles, but we must hold on to one Truth: The Lord has called us and therefore we are on the right path of Love and Compassion. Our change of mentality has to do with the possibility of facing with courage all the challenges that are presented to us, without fear, as children of God. This does not mean that the process will be easy. We will surely have to go through moments of tears and struggle.

This will demand from us a greater effort in the exercise of perseverance and to constantly renew our Faith in the Glory of Jesus. When a problem seems to have no solution, it is fundamental that when it is our turn to face it, we never look at our past without Jesus. Let us highlight the battles we have fought before to forge our future in the Lord.

"The way of the Lord contains obstacles to overcome." 2 Samuel 5:17-18.

There are situations and difficulties that we will have to face throughout our lives. Surely there will be times when we feel alone and overwhelmed. Let us remember in those moments that we walk with God and that what is impossible for men is not impossible for Him. Let us trust wholeheartedly in God the Father and let us be filled with joy for the Blessings we have received. We will reach, by His side, all our goals and we will overcome those problems that generate so much anguish and sadness.
