Open Your Eyes: Stand Up

You have the tools within you. Stop suffering, being afraid or not knowing who to turn to. Explore how to get ahead in the next article.

"No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us." 1 John 4:12

Probably, we have ever felt some kind of disconnection, in our relationship with Christ. We can also perceive it in family or friends.

This usually happens due to the large number of distractions we are subjected to in today's world.

The mass media presents us with a world where "success" is measured in material possessions, generating a feeling of continuous dissatisfaction that keeps our minds occupied while we put aside the things that enrich the Spirit and allow us to grow in Christ.

Therefore, it is very important to recognize ourselves again and again under the Guidance of the Most High. He will not let us fall into absolute darkness and he will light our way to Salvation.

“We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to our own way; and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all.” Isaiah 53:6

Today's world is so dizzying that many times we can be overwhelmed by the large number of obligations to which we are exposed every day. We incorporate the false impression that we have no time for anything and we feel exhausted, both physically and mentally.

At times like this, a feeling of emptiness grows within us, leaving us anguished and sad.

What really happens to us? We have strayed from the path that the Lord has designated for us. We have lost something fundamental to face our challenges: Peace of Spirit.

And when we lose that Peace, we forget who we are and what we are since we are disconnected from the Grace of the Creator.

“Don’t be afraid,” David said to him, “for I will surely show you kindness for the sake of your father Jonathan. I will restore to you all the land that belonged to your grandfather Saul, and you will always eat at my table.” 2 Samuel 9:7

It may happen that, realizing the mistakes we have made, how far we are from the Lord, we have the feeling that we are no longer worthy of His Glory.

The states of confusion lead us to the fictitious idea of thinking that we are not worthy of His Perfect Love. It is a time when we must cast out all our fears and approach with humility and repentance into the arms of our Heavenly Father.

We will understand then that the Mercy of the Lord is Infinite. His Kindness and Understanding towards us is wonderful and Unconditional. Christ lovingly leads us back to the path God has designed for us.

Once the path is spotted, we will be able to recognize that we have never strayed from it, but by forgetting, we, the Eternal Unity that unites us to the Highest, we lose ourselves in the mist, filling ourselves with fear and guilt.

“I have seen their ways, but I will heal them; I will guide them and restore comfort to Israel’s mourners.” Isaiah 57:18

From the sincere and heartfelt repentance, we will be able to recognize ourselves for what we really are: Beloved Children of God.

Let us not be afraid to approach our Father. No matter how far we have strayed, no matter what harmful actions we have been involved in, when we reject all that has harmed us, we will be able to understand that the Eternal One has always been there for us. These changes, as difficult as they are necessary, will give us the sincere conviction that we admit His Word from the depths of our being.

“Whoever claims to live in him must live as Jesus did.” 1 John 2:6

It is vitally important to experience real and lasting change that pleases the Lord.

This will fill us with Rejoicing, Peace, Balance and Purpose. Let us ask our brothers for help. They are tools of God the Father working in us.

Let us not seek vain and superfluous solutions, far from the Love of Christ. Let us seek the Word of God to understand it, apply it and obey it. Let us heal our bonds and wounds to transform our lives to the Glory of the Eternal.

Let's restore our dialogue with the Lord so that our words are filled with His Presence. In Him we can do everything.
