The 6 best verses about God's love

When we most need to be close to our Savior, we must remember the vast love that is shown in each one of the sons and daughters who follow the Holy Spirit as their guide for life. Receive these verses that will light your path.

“O give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures for ever” Psalms 136:1

If there is a characteristic that should stand out in the children of God it is gratitude towards our Lord. This Psalm exhorts his faithful to praise him because he is great in mercy which is eternal.

Praising our God is more than a simple emotional chant, but rather an expression of gratitude for all the goodness we received from God. So we must know how to thank God for everything he has done for us and in our praise we must know how to express it.

“But thou, O Lord, art a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness.” Psalms 86:15

In this beautiful Psalm we can witness the infinite mercy that characterizes the Lord, thanks to which we, his beloved children, enjoy the benefits of being loved by our Father.

His mercy and forgiveness for us only reaffirms the trust that He has for us and it is our obligation to feed that trust daily. Only then will we truly feel worthy of his eternal love and benevolence.

“ For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16

With this beautiful verse the Holy Father's love for us is well represented: His love and hope in us is so great that He did not hesitate to give His life so that we may be born free from sin.

Furthermore, we have the wonderful reward of possibly spending eternity with Him, freeing us from death.

“I love those who love me, and those who seek me diligently find me.” Proverbs 8:17

Love is a very strong force that unleashes passion and desire, and when you have a passion and desire to seek God, you will certainly find Him. Since He is everything and is in everything, we can find Him when we pray, always remembering that reaching a more intimate relationship with the Lord should be the main mission for each one of us:

Do not forget that the Lord promises to manifest himself to those who love Him. Today we entrust our hearts and souls to communicate spiritually with the Lord through the power of prayer.

“But God shows his love for us in that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8

This verse tells how Jesus emptied Himself of any divine privilege to come in human form and obey God, sacrificing Himself for you and me, for both the good and bad people. God loves us so much that He showed His love by giving what He most cared for: His beloved Son.

We are sinners and we did not deserve it, but God did it to reconcile humanity with himself. God gave us what we needed: a Savior. That's why He sent Jesus and gave us the greatest show of love ever seen.

“He who has my commandments and keeps them, he it is who loves me; and he who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and manifest myself to him.” John 14:21

Loving God and doing what He wants are two actions linked in essence: love is demonstrated in works, not in words.

Meanwhile doing what He wants is accomplished by following His Word, showing in action what we profess in our prayers.
