"Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid." John 14:27

Spiritual life, like physical and emotional life, requires rules and structures to guide us toward a full and orderly existence. Rules exist to order society, creating consensus on what can and cannot be done. Have you asked yourself what are the rules that govern your spiritual life? What are the internal structures you have created around your faith?

It is essential to have guides to help us lead our lives in a rational and orderly manner. However, sometimes we cling to very rigid rules and inherited precepts that do not allow us to love the Lord with full freedom.

Rethinking these mental ties that prevent us from feeling God's blessings in their fullness can open a new path of light for us. In times of difficulty, finding comfort and strength in faith is essential. Trusting that God has a plan for us helps us to face challenges with hope and serenity.

"Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go,for to you I entrust my life." Psalm 143:8

Self-love has nothing to do with selfishness; on the contrary, it is one of God's commands and has a twofold purpose. On the one hand, it serves as a shield to protect us from verbal and physical outrages and aggressions from those who do not know love; on the other hand, it equips us to love unconditionally our loved ones in particular and our neighbors in general.

This commandment invites us to see ourselves as worthy of love and respect, not because of what we do, but because of who we are in Christ.

In many areas of our lives, we have heard people advise others to love themselves. This seemingly noble advice seeks to create an awareness of how important we are.

This premise is intended to warn us not to neglect the esteem in which we hold ourselves, especially when we are more concerned about the well-being of others than our own. This balance is essential to maintain a full life in harmony with divine principles.

"The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters." Psalm 23:1-2

The call we have as children of God is to value and thank God for his twofold work in us. That is, what he has done in creating us and redeeming us. We were created in the image of God and redeemed with a very high sacrifice, that is, Christ died for us, and from there comes our dignity. This means that we owe God eternal gratitude and one way to return His love is to love ourselves as He loves us.

This self-love becomes the foundation on which we can build healthy and meaningful relationships.

The right attitude towards ourselves is to value, appreciate and esteem God's work in us. We are His handiwork, and that is where our dignity comes from. The key that reveals our unlimited potential is love, which liberates and heals us; although love begins with ourselves.

Let us remember that there is no point in seeking outside what we do not give to ourselves. By developing this self-appreciation, we strengthen our relationship with God and find true peace and fulfillment.

"But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint." Isaiah 40:31

Observe your environment and the people involved in your spirituality. It is healthy to have spaces of connection with the Lord through prayer. Do not hesitate to engage in activities that allow you to have moments just for you. Creating these daily spaces will be the first step to take that leap towards the Heavenly Father.

Through prayer and reflection, we can strengthen our bond with the Creator and learn to see ourselves through His eyes. On this path of self-discovery and acceptance, we will find not only a greater connection with God, but also a life filled with purpose and joy. Transforming our shadows into light allows us to see God's wonderful blessings manifesting in us. Making the decision to walk with the Lord and backing up our faith with words and actions that reflect His presence in our lives is a clear sign of spiritual maturity.

One of the fundamental teachings of the Lord is patience. Achieving a peaceful and faith-focused waiting allows us to reach our longings and life goals. This is not the time to open an emotional or affective battle front. It is time to sit down, observe how you feel and walk slowly, without haste, with the Lord.
