What are the attitudes to develop in Life?

Faced with a complex situation and a change of scenery in our lives, it is essential to listen to what Almighty God has to say to us.

“Even though I walk through the darkest valley. I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.” Psalms 23:4

The mass media are playing an important role in these difficult times. There is so much information circulating that we are exposed to feelings of anxiety and worry. It is as if we were living in "someone else's time".

Quarantine is a propitious time to live "our moment" whatever the situation in which we find ourselves.

That is why it is important to find an opportunity for reflection, in solitude or with our families, so that the seed that Jesus has planted in us may germinate, reinforcing, in this way, the commitment to His Word and Values through dialogue and Prayer.

“Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way, you will fulfill the law of Christ.” Galatians 6:2

It is important to maintain fluid, positive and healthy communication within our families. Children are as affected as we are by the current situation. There are several reasons that can plunge us into introspection and gloom, causing us to leave our children free to the screens of cell phones, computers, and TVs.

Therefore, it is very important to propose, instruct and listen. Let us show our little ones that we trust them. Let us help them develop the talents with which God has blessed them.

In situations where we do not know what to do, a good option is to approach our children, propose activities, and marvel at one of the most authentic expressions that The Lord gives us every day.

“We have spoken freely to you, Corinthians, and opened wide our hearts to you. We are not withholding our affection from you, but you are withholding yours from us. As a fair exchange—I speak as to my children—open wide your hearts also.” 2 Corinthians 6:11-13

Confinement in our homes can generate unpleasant situations. Unnecessary fights, senseless arguments, and offenses take us away from the Grace of the Lord. It is important to have Christ always present and to follow his example of surrender, kindness, and love.

Let us have enough Wisdom and Humility to recognize our mistakes, let us leave room in our hearts for reconciliation and forgiveness. By empowering these values, we will completely remove pride and anger from our souls.

Supported by our Faith and the teachings of our Heavenly Father, we will be able to heal all the wounds that our own and others' displeasure may have caused.

“All of us, then, who are mature should take such a view of things. And if on some point you think differently, that too God will make clear to you.” Philippians 3:15

Some of us have to go through quarantine with an older adult. Our grandparents need a lot of care and attention, especially considering the characteristics of the COVID19 virus. That is why we must develop our tolerance to be attentive to their needs, not only those of health care but also those of the heart.

This is a propitious time to get closer to the vision and teachings of Christ. It is an excellent opportunity to have deep and healthy conversations with people who have already traveled much of the road. Let us listen attentively to what The Lord has to tell us through his life experience.

To maintain a state of family communion in times of isolation, it is important to strengthen our faith with activities that involve the whole family. We can take advantage of the time to approach the Highest in a collective or individual way, carrying out meetings that in normal instances we do not usually carry out due to lack of time.

For example, reading the Scriptures as a family to continue to strengthen and build our commitment to the Eternal. Let us reflect together on the situation we are going through and listen to each other's voice. It will be the Word of God among us.
